La Piazza Press
La Piazza Press is our monthly
newsletter that we use to keep everyone informed of
our progress towards our goal of becoming
missionaries with Saint's Equipped to Evangelize in
San Lorenzo, Italy. Our vision is to see the
piazzas (town squares) filled with evangelical
Christians. Would you be willing to share in
that vision? If so, please click the Subscribe

Current Happenings
- May 14, 2007
Life continues to be fast and
furious for us. In the last month we had a yard sale,
sold our house, packed up and moved what was left of our
belongings to Pennsylvania. (Please see our new
contact information below.) We are in the process of
unpacking and repacking for Italy. Whew, we're tired!
But we are also very blessed! Our Sunday school class
stood by us all the way. They had a packing and
loading party for us, provided lunch for both events, and
prayed us through the whole process. When we arrived
in Pennsylvania our daughters and son-in-laws were here to
unload the truck and give us moral support. God has
been so gracious to us! This week we spoke at our
grandsons first grade class doing a show & tell about our
ministry in Italy. Earlier in the week both of our
grandsons voluntarily told us that they had asked Jesus into
their hearts this last winter and then asked us if we had
done the same. They wanted to make sure that we were
saved also. Is that not the most precious thing that
you have ever heard? We have been praying for their
salvation and now at the tender ages of six and seven, we
are confident that God has answered our prayers.
Hallelujah! The verse God has been pressing in on our
hearts is Luke 17:10; "So you also, when you have done
everything you were told to do, should say, 'We are unworthy
servants; we have only done our duty.'" Lord, we pray
for attitudes like that!
Italy Bound
On June 16th, our
youngest daughter, Brittany, marries Stephen
Marshall (who we dearly love) here in Allentown, PA.
Two days later, Tom leaves for Italy.
Once in Italy, he will immediately join a short term
team who will be holding outreach events in a
variety of towns in northeast Italy.
Throughout the summer, he will be working with
numerous teams including a team sent from our home
church in Ft. Myers, FL. Talk about hitting
the streets running! By the way, your support
dollars are already hard at work as S.E.E. has purchased
a 9 passenger van for Tom to use in transporting
teams.
Maureen will join him
on August 20th after spending the summer finishing
some last minute details such as securing health
insurance, fund raising, and spending time
with our grandchildren. Once she arrives, we
will find a place to live and Maureen will begin
organizing the fall semester of English as a Second
Language. This is offered free of charge to
Italians for the purpose of telling them about Jesus
and winning them to Christ.
May
Schedule
The beginning of the
month has been spent moving to our cabin in
Pennsylvania. We fly to California May 16 to
say goodbye to Maureen's extended family and return
on the 21st. We are continuing to fund raise
but are also spending quality time with
our children and grandchildren.
Support Update
The Lord
has given us 85 prayer partners and 50 financial
partners. We praise the Lord for all of you!
The Euro has continued to push the exchange rate in
the wrong direction; we are now losing 35% of every
US Dollar versus 30% a month ago. Our
monthly short fall is $1,177. We begin to draw our
support this month. Any amount of monthly support
you could give would be greatly appreciated. We will be
hard pressed to do all that the ministry requires
without it. Please pray about your involvement in reaching
the Italian people for Jesus.
To become apart of our financial support
team, make your check payable to Saints Equipped to
Evangelize. Put our names on the memo line and
indicate whether it is a special or monthly gift.
All contributions are tax deductible. Mail your check to:
